Will Matthysen also designs and makes clocks to individual requirements. Many prospective clients visit his workshop to see work in progress, or discuss options via email. This enables the client to select materials, discuss the design details, budget, timeline, and collaborate in the making of a unique clock.
Will then produces a scaled and annotated drawing of the design. Once production has started, Will keeps his clients informed by sending photos of progress.

Once the design has been confirmed, a 30% deposit is requested to cover the cost of materials and the initial machining costs. The balance is to be paid on completion.

Yes. As a craftsman, Will takes pride in the quality of his work and his reputation, and will provide any assistance needed.
His early clocks require cleaning and oiling every 5 to 10 years. The clock movement can be removed from the case and serviced by any competent clockmaker. His later clocks use ceramic and stainless steel ball races, and do not require further lubrication.
